Went there yesterday for a late Lunch after playing golf at the High Peaks Golf Course. Really nice Hotel and Restaurant with that old Adirondack charm. The food, drink and service were excellent. Looking forward to visiting again next year.
Excellent find!!! Quiet bar well attended by locals, great food, drinks, and service. Bring your drinks on the porch and enjoy the view of the lake across the street. Rooms are plain but clean and quiet. Front rooms with the view are hallway, shared bathroom. Staying gives you access to the second floor porch with another view of the lake. Service is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!!!
Was up working locally, around long lake. The Adirondack was a great place after work for a beer and late lunch. Being from another state, it was refreshing to go to a place where the locals were friendly, and the bartenders and waitresses were efficient, and very nice. Food was good too.
Today was dubbed paddle and a pint day! However, we did it in the reverse. We got our pint first and then went out and paddle because we had a late start. We needed sustenance to enjoy paddling on Long Lake. We stopped at the bar and our bartender was Karen who has been there for four years. She was very knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. We got a lot of appetizers, which you will see in the pictures below and they were all extremely tasty. We also got cups of the Korean soup, which was the soup of the day and I really enjoyed that soup. Give this place a try if you’re in Long Lake.
Stayed for two nights in early January. The hotel and service were splendid, with a friendly group of locals to drink with in the evening. Not all the perks of a Hyatt, but all the better for it.
A true Long Lake gem definitely worthy of a stop for lunch or dinner and happy hour. The service is wonderfully friendly and they food yummy. In the summer I'm addicted to the Ceasar salad and in the winter the French Onion soup and wings!
Can’t speak to the rooms as we only stopped for lunch but we really enjoyed our visit. We had lunch at the bar on a weekday, staff was friendly and attentive. I got the special of the day, pulled pork flatbread, and the pork was excellent; smoky and tender. Lots of cheese and tasty crust. My husband got a house salad with shrimp (requested no croutons) and said it was all quality. We each had a couple drinks as well and they were cold and served quick. We’ll definitely stop again when passing through.
I grew up coming here and love it every time I come back! We stopped in for dinner and a drink on this trip up north—three of us returning and one newbie who absolutely loved it. The place has a great feel and lovely people. Whether you are with a group or dining solo, I highly recommend it.
